About Me – Your Expert for Interpreting & Translation
Bridging Languages, Connecting Cultures
My name is Kiyoshi Leon Kanuma, and I grew up bilingual in German and Japanese in the Hintertaunus region in Germany. I pursued my academic journey at the prestigious Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg, Germany’s oldest university, where I earned a B.A. in Japanese Studies and an M.A. in Conference Interpreting with Japanese, German, and English as my working languages.
During my studies, I developed a deep specialization in the Japanese language and culture—knowledge that I now apply in my work as an interpreter and translator. Based in Frankfurt and available across Germany, I serve as a reliable bridge between languages and cultures.
With linguistic precision, cultural sensitivity, and professional expertise, I help you overcome language barriers and achieve your goals with confidence.

Breaking Language Barriers – Conveying Emotions & Messages
My work as an interpreter and translator goes beyond mere word-for-word translation. It’s about connecting people, fostering authentic communication, and ensuring that messages resonate—whether in business or personal settings.
From fan meetings, where excited eyes light up upon seeing their idol, to business negotiations, where a well-timed joke eases the atmosphere, to anniversary celebrations, where heartfelt speeches leave a lasting impact—my job is to translate words so they are not just understood, but truly felt.
As your interpreter and translator, I stand by your side to help create these meaningful moments and make language a bridge, not a barrier.
